Switzerland and Poland are willing to work together to strengthen the scientific collaboration.”
The International PhD School is a pilot project in the frame of the bilateral scientific cooperation between Poland and Switzerland and has it roots in a longstanding cooperation between EMPA, WUT and AGH-UST.

Nowadays state-of-the-art education system should focus on improved quality of doctoral studies and higher career success rate. Its goal is not to produce scientifically over-educated employees but independent postgraduates. A combination of the scientific knowledge along with business and management skills provided is believed to guarantee creation of international scientific community at junior level and development of new generation of young researchers with international experience who will find easily their ways in highly demanding society.
